How To Get An Instant Traffic Surge To Your Site
By Jimmy D. Brown of Traffic F.U.E.L.

There’s no question that building an affiliate program is THE best way to get a lot of free traffic to your web site.

And, if you spend any amount of time at all reading through the materials here, you’ll find a lot of useful ideas for finding affiliates to grow your program.

But, here is an affiliate idea that will absolutely take your traffic and sales to the next level.

Let me give it to you in it’s abbreviated form first, and then I’ll explain everything you need to know to quickly get it implemented.

You ready for this?

Here goes…

“Find a motivated ‘affiliate manager’ and pay them 50% of all your profits”

Now, I know what you’re thinking – why in the world would I pay someone HALF of all of my profit?

I’m about to explain it to you. And believe me, this is worth the read, so pay careful attention to what I’m about to explain to you.

This is good.

It works like this…

Setup a separate website to process orders.

To begin with, you’ll need to setup a separate website to process all of the orders that your “affiliate manager” brings in (along with all sales generated by the affiliates he recruits for you)

In other words, you register a new domain that is similar to the title of your existing domain, and you host that site.nt for processing all of the orders and managing your new affiliate program that your “manager” will be overseeing.

This is a completely separate account from your existing one. All orders generated through this account will be completely brought in by your affiliate manager and affiliates / partners he recruits.

Now, obviously, your affiliate manager will want to monitor sales stats to see how much profit is being generated to this Clickbank account. You’ve got two options for how you allow your affiliate manager access…

Get full access to the control panel. Your first option is to allow your affiliate manager complete access to the control panel at Clickbank in order to monitor stats. I highly recommend that you ONLY do this if your affiliate manager is someone you know well and find completely trustworthy. Once someone has access to your Clickbank account, they can, in effect, take control of the account. Use this option with extreme caution.

Give email access and screenshots. The other option is to setup a forwarding email address that sends the sales notifications from Clickbank to both of your email accounts. This will allow your affiliate manager to get notified when any sale is generated so they can verify sales and profits. Additionally, at the end of each pay period, you could take screenshots of the Clickbank control panel or scan the check you receive from Clickbank when sending your affiliate manager’s half of the profits received.em on to your affiliate manager to use with the affiliates he has recruited for the separate program.

Hint: Encourage him to create his own unique materials, incentives, and contests for his own affiliates as well!

What an incredible traffic-generation idea!

You get…

* 50% of all profits from this separate site!

* A growing database of affiliates!

* A growing opt-in list!

All in all, this is one of THE best ways to grow your business … without lifting a finger!

I could come up with plenty of reasons why I haven’t been posting to my blog.

However, only one is of any significance – I’ve been working.

The thing is, I like blogging. I like researching and finding new things to write about.

Most of all, I like to write about things I have to dig up. Things no one else writes about – probably – because it takes ‘detective’ work. Hence the name ‘The Marketing Sleuth’.

I’ve been working on a project for a very high profile marketer and I’ve learned so much from him. He just happens to be one of the best marketers and copywriters of the last 50+ years.

But I’ve missed writing to my blog.

And so, I’ve decided I’m going to come back and give you more articles on a regular basis.

You may wonder why I decided to write a post explaining my reasons for not keeping my blog updated. Well, the reason is a post by Melinda Brennan on copyblogger called 6 Online Marketing Mistakes that Will Kill Your Business.

I really just wanted to clarify, to myself, that it’s not one of those reasons keeping me away.

Go and check out the post. It’s an eye-opener for anyone who makes excuses about why they don’t succeed.

I’ve been using Facebook for a while, but I was never sure how to use it to promote my blog.

So I decided I’d look into into and, lo and behold, who should be thinking the same thing?

Darren Rowse of Problogger.net.

While he posted it over a month ago, this particular post has been very timely for me.

It’s called ‘5 Ways I’m Using Facebook to Drive Traffic, Build Brand and Increase Reader Engagement‘.

Now, I know this may look like I’m being lazy, but I’m not… honest.

Rather than copy the whole post – it’s quite long and full of valuable information – I advise you to click the link and check it out for yourself.

Go ahead – I gain nothing – except, maybe, your appreciation.

Oh, and while you’re at it, you might also want to check this out. Again, like I said, I get nothing out of it except a desire to point you in the right direction.

Does it ever occur to you why people write blogs and, what’s more interesting, why others read them?

One of the reasons I’ve found to be true is because bloggers tend to be seen by a lot of people like newspaper journalists or magazine columnists.

I know this to be true as I personally run a few blogs on a variety of topics, and their readerships run into the hundreds and even thousands per day.

One thing I’ve found is the more ‘newsy but opinionated’ type of posts I make, where I write my own opinion on a public matter, the more readers I get.

This type of information on blogs is more interesting to the average reader as it has a more personal feel to it due the the person writing in his or her own voice, unlike the media.

Also, when you make a blog post, it gives your readers the chance to make their own comments – either for or against what you write – read other material linked to your post… or link something themselves.

In effect, a blog is very interactive, which is one of its main attractions.

And blogging is trendy – anybody who is anybody seems to have a blog, and it gives you the a satisfaction of blending in… of being appreciated for your writing.

It’s a way to ’speak’ your mind on public interests and events.

It’s a chance say what you feel… about… anything.

It’s a medium of keeping a record of everything you write, and call upon it if and when you need it… easily accessible.

It’s a chance to get into print without having to go through a publisher and all the related hassles and headaches.

You can even use a blog, whether as a writer or a reader, as a medium of debate… a place to air your opinions… as long as you know there are rules of engagement in all areas of life and realise others have opinions, too.

And, blogs are a perfect way of marketing your business and keeping in touch with your customers, your employees, your associates and whoever else has an interest in your business.

Lets face it, a blog can be used in almost any way you want to use it, and it gives the added advantage of the ability to update as often as you would want to… as long as what you have to say is interesting and easy to read – as I hope this blog is.

As a communication tool the internet is now the fastest way to keep in touch with friends anywhere in the world.

As an information tool, the internet is without doubt the richest source for researching more or less any subject you can possibly think of.

In short, the internet affects the lives of possibly the majority of the people in the entire world.

The internet can even be a used as a tool for expressing yourself in ways which were never before possible.

One way in which this is accomplished through the use of blogs.

What is a blog?

A blog is a medium through which we, personally, can express our feelings and air our opinions.

It’s a way of spreading news, and even gossip.

It’s a way of doing business and making a little extra cash.

It’s a way of venting our anger and frustrations in public.

It’s a way of telling others about the great new car we bought and how we feel about it as we drive down the highway with sunroof down, feeling the wind in our hair.

It’s a way of laughing at ourselves by telling everyone how we felt when the heavens suddenly opened up and let loose a shower of hailstones before we could get the sunroof back up.

And, it’s a way of having fun with our thoughts.

It’s an online diary… a weblog.

And All that from a small, almost insignificant looking website.

We can update as regularly as we like, or not.

We can add pictures and videos and all sorts of documents to it… and we can link to other sites from it.

And, hopefully if our information is interesting, other sites will link to it.

And it is for some, or all, of the above reasons that ‘blogging’ is so attractive to people everywhere.

Whatever the reason, it’s a way of making ourselves heard by others, specifically people who share our interests.

Blogs start out as simple websites and can be as complex as we want them to be… it’s entirely up to us.

We can stick news on them and make them completely information focused; we can talk about our hobbies… or… we can just try to be funny.

The point is to fill it with information people will want to read over and over, and keep coming back for more.

Now, while blogs are seemingly insignificant, they have grown to be more popular, attracting more attention, than large websites which are professionally designed.

How is that possible?

Well, for a start, blogs are usually focused on a specific subject and is continually updated, which means people will keep coming back.

Large websites tend to be more static and never changing.

Blogs also link to other sites which means there are usually more sites linking back to it.

And, when there are links to your blog from other sites, chances are better people will click the links from there to come to your site… even if it’s just out of curiosity.

That also mean your site receives more traffic than static websites.

And, if your site has more traffic, it ranks higher in the search engines.

If it ranks higher in the search engines, it is easier to find by people doing the searching.

Blogging, in short, has gone from being an online diary to a possible fully fledged business outlet, if that’s your aim.

So, whatever your reasons, blogging is something which can be utilised for any number of things.

Why not give it a try?

Let me know if I can help in any way.
